“The tour was that good we booked another the day after”
Our day tour to the Hills of Crosses was brilliant . Our guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable and professional.
We booked an extra tour the next day with the same tour guide . He was very friendly and courteous.
We would highly recommend these tours with the company .
“Interesting and informative”
As we were walking past the street we saw this place and without a second thought we walked in to book a trip to the hill of crosses. The lady in the reception was really kind and helpful. The price includes pickup from the hotel. So we just had to be downstairs at the arranged time. Our guide Inga was just the best! Really kind and friendly. We absolutely loved her. On the way to the hill we stopped at a park and the history lesson began there! Inga not only knows a lot of things but she also knows how to say it so that you pay attention without getting bored. Best guide/teacher ever!
Although it’s a 3 hour drive to see the Crosses it really has to be done. It would seem the history on why and who started placing crosses here is based on which ever story you wish to believe. Nevertheless it is a remarkable site with over 100,000 crosses now(I would love to know who counted them 🙂 )
Clearly it’s still being used even today with crosses I saw from many different countries including Australia, Japan, Korea, Austria to name but a few).
It’s a must do if you in Lithuania.
