Our tour guide was so lovely (man who carried out the tour on the AM of 20/10)! The tour began with a WW2 lesson followed by the HoC and was brilliantly informative. The final stop was a traditional meal at a local restaurant which was delicious.
Recently returned from a day trip to HIll of the Crosses. The trip was incredible and the crosses are one of the incredible sights Iv ever seen. We were collected from our hotel on time and our tour guide was very friendly and informative and provided an interesting insite on Lithuania’s history on Soviet rule. The restaurant that we stopped at for lunch was lovely and again our guide did a fantastic job in explaining what all the Lithuanian dishes were.
Its an early day with a lot of driving to get there, but we had an funny and great guide with a lot of information and the hill is beautiful.
This was a most interesting tour. Our guide had excellent knowledge of the history of Lithuania and the history regarding the Hill of Crosses. She was most informative. You can put your own cross amongst the hundreds of thousands there and you can walk all around savour the peace and serenity of the area. Well worth the drive through the countryside.
